Amishar (הי"ד)

Amishar was born in April 1981 to Chaim and Chana Ben David and raised
in Keshet. He studied in the Yeshiva high school in Hispin. During his ﬁnal year
of high school, he volunteered his time helping children in Tirat HaCarmel.

Amishar studied in the renowned Mechina program in Eli and joined the IDF in the
elite Maglan special forces unit.

After completing his army service, Amishar married Shlomit and together they were blessed with ﬁve beautiful children.

"Gifts of Life״

For the last ten years, Amishar was a volunteer medic and ambulance drive
for Magen David Adom, and became the MDA Eli team leader.
Amishar was committed and saved countless lives over the years.

Amishar continue his selﬂess path and donated one of his kidneys through
the “Gift of Life” foundation. He speciﬁcally chose to donate to a younger
patient so that his donor could enjoy more years of health.

Amishar was also a talented educator who’s students respected
and adored him. He was a listening ear, always be there for all creating lasting bonds with his students .

A True Warrior

On October 7th Amishar was called up as a Major in reserves and
Commando Brigade forward Op-centre. Initially he deployed to Kfar Aza with
his unit and took part in heavy ﬁghting that took place there saving many lives.
His unit then went north and eventually back to Gaza . During this time Amishar
barely had time to visit with his family. Amishar felt as ofﬁcer in charge, he had
soldiers who needed the time off more than he did.

On Friday March 8TH Amishar was killed while leading an assault against a terrorist compound in Khan Younis.

Life after Amishar

Amishar leaves behind his wife, Shlomit,
an expert canine therapist and beloved teacher in Shilo and his lovely kids:
Yehuda 16, Hallel 14, Hod Ora, 11, and Yedidya and Yishai 9.
