Uriah Mash (הי"ד)
Oria was born in September 1982 as one of seven children. He studied at the
Mitzpe Ramon yeshiva and before his army service. After, Uriah was lookingfor a
unique yeshiva tailored to his individual style of thinking. Uriah became the first
student of the Rabbi Ofner in the Reuta yeshiva.
Uriah joined the Armored Corps and after much training qualified
as a tank driver. Everyone who knew him considered him professional and calm even under fire.
Shortly after completing his army service,
Uriah married Avital and started their family.
The Ultimate Warrior
As the father of six children and being over forty, Uriah was exempt from reserve duty.
With his wife’s blessing, Uriah continued performing reserve duty. With the outbreak of
the Iron Swords war, Uriah deployed together with his tank unit on the Gaza border. He
was a serious soldier, always ready for action and someone to count on when the going got tough.
Uriah was killed in action on the 2nd of November 2023
in north Gaza in a firefight with terrorists,
He was buried in the Mount Herzl military cemetery.
Life after Uriah
Uriah left behind his wife Avital and six children;
Nadav 15, Shira 13, Rani 11, Noam 7 ,Tzur 4 and Nitai 22 months.
